Judge each side by what it wants and what it does

Who wanted two states?
Israel's founders accepted partition in 1947. Arab leaders rejected it and went to war. The pattern repeated in 1937, 2000 and 2008. Peace has always required one thing the other side refused: accepting a Jewish state.
The double standard
In 2018 the UN General Assembly could not pass a resolution simply condemning Hamas. It got 87 votes for and 58 against, and failed only because a two-thirds rule was imposed first. DW
If Hamas laid down its weapons tomorrow, the war would end. If Israel laid down its weapons tomorrow, there would be no Israel.
